Whether you’re aiming for a dynamic full-time career, seeking to seize investment opportunities, or simply wanting a deeper grasp of one of life’s major financial transactions, there’s never been a better moment to unlock the power of a real estate license!
To practice real estate in Pennsylvania, you must complete two prescribed courses — Real Estate Fundamentals and Real Estate Practice. These lay the foundation for your licensing exam.
For in-person classes, visit our Course Calendar.

Requirements for taking the Real Estate Licensing Exam:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent.
- Must pass both Real Estate Fundamentals (30 Hours) and Real Estate Practice (45 Hours). There is a final examination for each course. Students may take either course first.
- Must register to take the State Salesperson Licensing Examination. More information can be found on the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission Website.
After successful completion of the State Salesperson Licensing Examination, you must make application for licensure with a Pennsylvania licensed Real Estate Broker. Once licensed under your employing Broker, you may begin working as a licensed PA Real Estate Salesperson.
New Student Policies
Students must attend 80% of the classes and achieve a passing grade in each course.
Upon successful completion of the courses, the Academy will furnish the student with a transcript of grades and the student will be eligible to take the state licensing examination; results will be known immediately. The licensing procedure may then begin through the student’s employing broker.
If a new student withdraws prior to the beginning of the 2nd class, there will be an administrative fee of $50.00. No refunds will be granted after the beginning of the second class.
