Committees


Committees and Working Groups are a great way to get to learn more about how the Association works. Do you have passion and expertise to help move our industry forward? Come join one of our groups below!

Committees

Diversity and Inclusion Committee:

Provides opportunities to promote diversity and inclusion within our association and the broader real estate community.
Commitment: Approximately 1 hour per month for meetings + 2-3 events per year.

Finance Committee:

Monitors the association’s financial standing and reviews the annual budget. Provides feedback on financial planning and investment strategy.
Commitment: Approximately 2 hours for meetings 4-6 times per year.

Government Affairs Committee:

Is involved in shaping policies that impact our industry. Advocate and lobby for Realtor-friendly legislation.
Commitment: Approximately 1 hour per month for meetings + 1-2 events per year.

Multiple Listing Service (MLS) Committee:

Provides user feedback to help us improve the real estate listing process and ensure the accuracy of our data. Collaborate with fellow Realtors to improve the functionality and user experience of our MLS system.
Commitment: Approximately 2 hours once per month for meetings.

Professional Development Committee:

Share your knowledge and expertise by helping us develop educational programs and training sessions to keep our members at the top of their game.
Commitment: Approximately 2 hours once per month for meetings.

RPAC Trustees (Realtors Political Action Committee):

Promote the PAC to ensure representation on Realtor issues in local and state legislatures
Commitment: Dependent on the election cycle.

Short-Term Rental Committee:

Work on developing guidelines and best practices for short-term rental management, keeping our members informed about relevant regulations, and exploring opportunities in this dynamic sector of real estate.
Commitment: Approximately 1 hour per month for meetings + 1-2 events.

Ad Hoc Projects:

Work with staff and committees on task forces and workgroups when needed. Projects may include Community Engagement, Technology Advisory, Strategic Planning, and Events & Awards. We anticipate doing a lot with these in 2024 as we work through our Strategic Plan.
Commitment: Dependent on project.
