To complete the NAR® requirements, and to have your name placed in front of the board for approval, you are required to complete the mandated NAR® Code of Ethics training and you must attend New Member Orientation.
You have sixty days from the day you joined the PMAR® to meet this requirement. You can complete your COE requirement at Free Online Code of Ethics for New Members.

Section 4. New Member Code of Ethics Orientation
(a) Applicants for REALTOR® Membership shall complete an orientation program on the Code of Ethics of not less than two hours and thirty minutes of instructional time. This requirement does not apply to applicants for REALTOR® Membership who have completed comparable orientation in another association, provided that REALTOR® Membership has been continuous, or that any break in Membership is for one year or less. Requirement waived if applicant completed a Pocono Mountains Association of REALTORS® orientation course during the four (4) years preceding the date of application. (Revised November 2008)
(b) Failure to satisfy this requirement within 60 days of the date of application (or when next Orientation Course is scheduled), will result in denial of the Membership application.
NOTE: Orientation programs must meet the learning objectives and minimum criteria established from time to time by the National Association of REALTORS®.
