PAR recently hosted the At Home With Diversity certification training from the National Association of Realtors® for staff members of state and local associations.
Fifty-three staff members from 15 associations achieved the AHWD certification. They join the more than 21,000 other real estate professionals in North America who have earned the certification after completing an eight-hour course addressing topics of diversity, fair housing and business planning development. The program is designed to meet the nation’s fair housing commitment by educating and equipping NAR’s members and staff with the tools they need to expand homeownership opportunities.
“PAR was proud to offer the At Home With Diversity training to its staff, as well as local association staff to reinforce our commitment to creating more diverse, equitable and inclusive organizations at every level,” said PAR CEO Mike McGee.
All staff members of the Tri-County Suburban Realtors® earned the At Home With Diversity® certification.
“Tri-County appreciates the support and generosity of PAR for funding the program for staff members. As At Home With Diversity®-certified staff professionals, we strive to create a more inclusive membership experience. As a result of the program, we are better able to assess the attributes of diversity within our membership, which allows us to effectively serve our members regardless of race or ethnic background. With an increased awareness of cultural and personal biases, we understand how each can adversely shape perceptions and behaviors within a multicultural landscape,” said Anne Marie Matteo, president/CEO of the Tri-County Suburban Realtors®.
